Dr Jenny (Robinson) Dockrill is a teacher and researcher in strategic communication and media psychology. Following 11 years working in science communication and year 7 science education, she has spent 20 years in academia teaching public relations and strategic communication along with doing research on audience interactivity as well as health and risk communication. She has worked in Australia and the USA, currently based in Melbourne, Australia at RMIT University. 

 

Jenny is an academic with a focus on research that describes and impacts on everyday life. is interested in how technology intersects with audience and stakeholder communication. Using a range of methodologies from experiments to ethnography, she is curious about how strategic communication and design can amplify behaviour and social change.

 

Her training includes a PhD in Mass Communication (Uni of Alabama, USA), M Arts (TV & Film, U Alabama), Graduate Diploma in Science Communication (ANU, Australia), and a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Psychology/Sociology (ANU). She is a Member of the Public Relations Institute of Australia (MPRIA) and working on her certificate in Community Engagement from the IAP2.
